Innovative touch display improves operator convenience and safety in the car

The EDAG Haptic Feedback Actuator System is an upgrade for touch displays and capable of improving operator convenience and safety in the car. It features fingertip controls for the infotainment and comfort functions in the vehicle, distraction to the driver is kept to a minimum. Mechatronic systems are generally still used in today's production vehicles.
The extraordinary potential of the new system will be displayed in a specially designed demonstrator. One of the key features of the display are recesses intended to serve as finger guides, which enable the driver to find the controls without looking. Functions are not triggered until the controls are firmly pressed - making blind operation simple despite the acceleration forces that occur while the vehicle is in motion.
