Rücker NORD AB trades under the brand name of the new shareholder EDAG

From October 2014, the engineering company Rücker Nord AB, based in Gothenburg, has been trading under the name EDAG Engineering AB and now appears under the brand umbrella of the new shareholder EDAG Engineering AG.

The merger of the two traditional German companies EDAG and Rücker in July 2014 led to the formation of one of the world's largest independent engineering service providers to the international automotive industry. EDAG Engineering AG works together with all well-known car manufacturers and system suppliers. This includes but is not limited to the development of complete modules, vehicles and versions, from industrial design to ready-to-drive prototypes as well as the production engineering - from planning to virtual commissioning.

"With the business location in Gothenburg, we are looking forward to being able to offer our Swedish customers, such as Volvo, CEVT, Volvo Truck & Bus and their suppliers, the direct local support in automotive engineering," explains Matthias Moser, new Managing Director of EDAG Engineering AB. At the location in Gothenburg, which was founded in 1959, more than 130 engineers work in the fields of body engineering (bodyshell, interior, exterior), mechanical engineering electric & electronics and in production engineering.

"In addition, our customers naturally have access to our global site network with its 8,000 employees and our interconnected engineering competence for vehicles and manufacturing facilities." For the future, EDAG is going for continued growth and is planning increases in annual sales volume personnel numbers of 10%.

For the current financial year 2014, the company expects a sales volume of approx. EUR 675 million. EDAG Engineering AG is represented in 25 countries and at 70 locations, including all the main markets in Western and Eastern Europe, in key Asian countries, as well as in the USA, Mexico and Brazil.
